that is strange, there are no entries after july 1944....so maybe his was KIA?...or he lost his Soldbuch sometimes?

          Bodes,
In early 1943 the Army began using a security check by placing a unit stamp (an open address was to be used but...) with officer signature on page 15. There were two more used after that, 1.12.43 & 1.9.44. The Waffen SS followed the Army pattern but had a mess because of having a 24 & a 32 page Soldbuch, which of course had different page 15. It was eventually cleared up be additional SS regulations. The Kriegsmarine and the Luftwaffen used Zeitstempel boxes on page one like the old Truppenasuweis until ordered to start using the security checks for 1.9.44. Like all regulations, you sometimes find more checks used. The one shown only has two as it is a 2nd issue, opened in 5.43.

            Hi Jungco,
Does it still stand a chance without the security stamps?
            Cheers

Thanks Jeff, I have an SS Soldbuch and by chance it does have the security stamp on page 23.....It is stamped 2/SS-Lehrregiment......1.XII(12).1943.....and the officer's signature with round regimental stamp.....Bodes
