    Luftschutz Grouping Nürnberg

    Hello to all,

I picked up a document grouping to an RLB Untergruppenführer from Nürnberg at this past weekend's SOS.

    Best regards,
    Tom

Here is the guy's document for the Luftschutz Medal 2nd Class, awarded in 1942. I always wanted a document for the Luftschutz Medal so I was happy to get this one.

The guy was also a veteran of the First World War. Here are his documents for the Hindenburg Cross with Swords, awarded in 1934 and the 1914 EK2, awarded in 1917:

Nice little grouping Tom. I especially like the KVK2 doc - that's a hard-to-find version WITHOUT swords.

Thanks, Hank. Is there anything about the text of the document that makes it a hard-to-find type, or is it just the fact that it is a small-size format document?

                  Best regards,
                  Tom

The fact that it's without swords. Most often (not always, but more frequently) you do see the larger docs with the eagle clutching the swaz on top for the w/o awards.

Great grouping and pics! The last three were taken at the Luftschutzschule Hermann Goering at Ostendstrasse 122. Unfortunately, the building was torn down just a few years ago to make way for a parking lot. But on Google Maps Street View you can still see the building, in the process of being torn down in August 2008.

I seems that all three persons have a British "Stabbrandbombe" (incendiary bomb) in theier hands, sure for training.

                            Hi,

Great RLB grouping with some excellent photographs, I just love this kind of thing.
I particularly enjoyed seeing the photo with the newly issued RLB armbands.
Many thanks for showing, made my day

                            Very best wishes,

                            John.
