Curious combination, Heer & SS TK Div

Looking at some old Heer albums I'm planing to sell, I found this picture. Heer visor cap, WSS Tk tabs, Heer arm eagle, and God knows what type of pants? (Pajamas?)

The pants look to be of the type that were worn by soldiers who were recovering from wounds or illness in convalescent facilities.

Interesting combination...His NCO shoulderstraps are not SS black either...(besides the Heer cap and Heer pattern sleeve eagle...)
Loaner gear from the hospital while convalescing would be a plausible explanation??? (left behind by patients who transferred or did not make it?)

If his uniform appeared in a collection, everyone would scream fake!

              Hi,

Interesting photographs, must be taken at some field hospital or other.
The use of Heer shoulder boards is quite unusual, but a Heer breast eagle worn on the arm by SS soldiers is not so rare.
I have a few photographs of SS officers wearing a Heer eagle on their arm, maybe they were ex army and were keeping up a tradition, or perhaps this was the only insignia available in the area?
Thanks for showing, enjoyed seeing these pics,

              Best wishes,

              John.

Likely he borrowed the cap from one of the other two Heer NCO's in the photos for the purpose of the single shot of him and nothing more than that. Photos of Heer insignia being worn on the sleeve do turn up now and then. Doubt it had anything to do with prior Heer service, but rather more to do with what was expedient and at hand.
