    Turncoats

    Hi guys,

    I found an envelope of assorted photos that I had forgotten all about the other day and in amongst them I found this Stuka that appears to be sporting a roundel.

    Anyone have any pics of war machines wearing the livery of the enemy? Axis or Allies.

    At Rathau on the Aller, the CO of 5th Royal Tanks advanced on foot to take a cautious look into the town before his tanks moved in. He encountered one of his own officers, a huge Welshman named John Gwilliam who later captained his country's rugby team, 'carrying a small German soldier by the scruff of his neck, not unlike a cat with a mouse.' The Colonel said: 'Why not shoot him?' Gwilliam replied in his mighty Welsh voice: 'Oh no, sir. Much too small.'

    I have never seen a photo of a Stuka captured by the enemy. I wonder if they actually used this, or just used it for testing?

            could this photo have been taken in western or southern germany after 1945.
            Alot of german airfields were left scattered with different planes and when the americans and british arrived, they often slapped their own emblems on them very quickly. "Finders Keepers"

            Just a idea!
