    Greetings Gentlemen

    Help me out here guys

    Who was this soldier and and where was his unit,and who is general of second arme
    i think this is a grate time documents, and it would be nice to track him down and see what i can find out about this solider

        In a book by Steven Newton - Kursk, The German view - they are listed in the order of battle of the 5th July 1943 as being with Gruppe Bornemann under XXIII Korps

            came across a few other bits, you may have them already

            Mobilised 1st Jan 1940 Feldpostnummer 01898
            With 294 Inf. Div. during Aug 1940

            With 1 A.Korps. in 1941 - July 41 with 11. Inf Div and Aug with 18 I.D. (IR 287)

            With 38 A. Korps in 1942 - July/Aug with 250 I.D. , Sept-Nov 1942 with 20 I.D. and Dec with 1. Luftwaffe Feld Division

            and for 294 I.D. see "Die 294. Infanteriedivision 1940-1944"

              Hey very nice information,i think that this soldier has being around and it and question is did he survive the war ? I think those dock are a grate time capsule
