Does anyone know what this is at all please

Basically this Dienstausweis authorized the holder access to buildings and grounds of the OKW. The top entry on the back assigns him to Gen = genesungs or convalescence company of Nachr = Nachrichten or signal unit, Aufkl. = aufklarungs or observer, Süd or south. What ever that unit was. The bottom means he was issued 40 RM discharge payment.

As he was with the "Oberkommando der Wehrmacht" I would put him to the unit "General der

Nachrichtenaufklärung" Süd - and the abbreviation "Gen." I would not read as Genesenden but

So am I correct that this guy was discharged but then continued some tasks and this pass allowed him into the building

Also would this be classed as a civil document
I will try get the other papers copied as might give more infomation

Is there a value to such a document ?

You are right. It's a capitol G. He was a civilian working for the OKW.

Yes, as either military or civilians worked at the Headquarters.

Yes, as there's value to most any document. I wouldn't plan my retirement on it though. Depending on what else you can find out about him and/or his role there.
