Glad you are not offended, and it is good to post things for lots of feedback....in the book of frauds I have it states the hitler diaries were sold and perpetrated by one of the big german militaria dealers also respected till the scandal, and fooled some of the best(how embarrassing).
One man who had for years faked everyone from benjamin franklin to lincoln, after stealing a letter containing franklins signature in the library of congress, still has signatures out there although fakes, that continue to fool experts .
This book discusses the use of autopens, and ways forgers do signatures, and those who are truly experts in the field as to how they scrutinize very closely angle, closed O's and details of the signature for a living , including paper analysis.
Being ww2 paper, the paper is no problem., and although i am not a expert, I have become to realise more and more through the years, signatures are like going to the top on a TK ring for a don boyle authentication....it always needs to be evaluated by the best to be sure.
We all don't always agrfee thats for sure... I just think the differences of both signatures give me pause personally. But as we always say, the collector who purchases is the only one who has to be satisfied ...and there are no cheap prices in authentic signatures. Signatures are more of a minefield than even medals or awards.

Yep, I agree, tons of forgeries, Hitler might be one of the most forged out there, and some of them are well executed. The diaries were actually not good forgeries but there was a good story behind them.

I think you have to be really careful with this stuff, but I also don't believe in such a thing as the perfect forgery. No one can get it perfect. There are going to be mistakes and half the fun of collecting stuff like this is doing the research to acquire good stuff. A lot of people find the whole verification process annoying, I think it is just the opposite.
