    Any idea of the value of last issue SA stamp sheet?

    I have an opportunity to purchase from a local militaria dealer a sheet of the last issue 1945 SA stamps. I have tried to find the value of such a set on the web, no luck. I am not a stamp expert. I just think this set would look impressive with my SA tinnies.
    Thanks!

    what's he want...

    Hi;
    What's he asking?
    Even though late war-not that difficult to find.A (complete?/non missing)sheet is what makes such really valuable.
    To make an opinion advise what the dealer is asking...

      A stamp sheet? Are you referring to a complete sheet of the issue with itsselvedge, or a block of X number of stamps? Please be a little more specific.

      Is the sheet perforate or inperforate. Is the gum mint, never hinged or does it have disturbances such as fingerprints, adhesions, or hinges. Are there any separated perfs?

      Any further specifics will help.

      I purchased my complete sheet set of the SA and SS issues back in 1983 and paid a princely sum back then. The trouble with collecting complete sheets is that they can be difficult to store properly as they are pretty good size. Happily, I found a very nice Lighthouse album that provides the necessary protection.

        Be careful as reproductions of these stamps do exist. Ramon, do you have a link or any information on the Lighthouse albums for full sheets? I've got a ton of sheets stored between leaves of wax paper that I would like to get stored properly.

          I'm a little out of my league!

          I'm sorry I can't be more specific. I'm really a novice when it comes to stamps. I saw them last week and was looking at my tinnies this weekend and thought that the two might make a good display. I don't remember specifically how many there were, at least 25-30? The stamps are perforated and they all looked like they were solidly joined. I did not have a chance to look at the back, but they looked mint on the front. I will have to go back this weekend if I can and get more info. Exactly how many stamps usually make up a sheet?
          Thanks!
