Organizationsbuch der NSDAP

Hi all, just visiting fromt he Communist blac area of the forum...in going through my fathers things ( he colelcted German WWII for a bit) I found a large (almost 600 pages) original "Organizationsbuch der NSDAP" dated 1943, in very good / super condition. Can anyone help me with its value? Thanks. DougD

I bought one from Manion's years ago for about $245. Tried selling it since then. No takers.

Current values for original 1943 Org books run upwards of 600-700 and more USD depending upon upon dealer and locality where sold and condition, condition, and condition.

I would refer a person to websites such as Bookfinder.com or ABE to see the range of pricing for the various editions of Org Buecher being offered.

Are you saying that all of the NSDAP Org. Buchs are going for $600 to $700 or just the 1943 ones?
I have a 1936 and a 1937 that I haven't been able to give away.
Are the ones on those websites selling or do they just sit there?

As noted in my response, I was referring specifically to the 1943 edition.

That being said, all editions of this title will generally be in the 300-500 USD range. Again, there will be exceptions. As always, condition plays an important part in pricing. These books, when published, were meant for use by the Party functionaries , and not intended for long term handling. They are printed on poor grade paper and the binding becomes easily shaken. The books were not intended for collectors and their fragile nature bears this out.

As far as sales, I have purchased Org books for as little as 37.00 to as much as 550 Euros. It comes to what I needed at the time of purchase and how motivated I was to want the title. Your experience may vary.

Hi,

the 1943 is the last edition of the collection, and therefore the most up to date.
It is usually the most wanted one for basic collectors, but as previously noted by ramon, the condition is the most important thing on Organizationsbücher to identify the real value.
