Hello all,
This is a War Merit Cross 2nd Class document. From what I can gather from interpreting the second document on google it appears this is Gerhard Geidel's "denazification papers."
What is interesting is in the upper right hand corner of the KVK2 are two western cities in the Ukraine. I assume this is where he was awarded this. Lemberg is the German way of saying Lviv. Tarnopol is the German way of saying Ternopil.
I am not sure why this document doesn't say "ohne schwertin" or "mit schwertin" for with or without swords?
Thank you,
Scott
