Could the shortend signature be an attempt to be less formal and more friendly since it was going to a school kid? Kids often use short names and nick names and would easily identify with that?

              Hi,

i'm sure Michael was keeping a few batches of these hidden in a 88mm empty shell in his Tiger.

              See You

To my knowledge and belief these were sold separately in Germany about 10 years ago to a US collector. They now reside in France.

I have seen several authentic Wittmann signatures owned by a major UK collector when he authenticated a clipping of mine and they all have the same characteristics which older fakes do not. Of course more recent fakes have perfected some of these characteristics.

I though to include a few further MW signatures for consideration. I forget where some of these pictures originated so if anyone has any ownership issues please let me know and I will delete them.

Concert programme - signature looks weak but if someone thrust a piece of paper into your hand to sign with no hard surface to write on perhaps the signature would be different?
