English style cap, rise and fall US style collar

my guess would be US volunteer ambulance WW1? or perhaps just a civy bandsman??

Czechoslovakian prewar soldier in mountain infantry or artillery service (purple or red backing with falcon pin) : Click!

Bingo that is it.

Makes sense as the early Czechoslovak military use military styles from a number of Allied countries until they settle on a more or less French style later in the early 30s

so the photo would be pre 1930
