    EK1 & EK2 Document to Leutnant Albrecht

    Hello all, two documents to Leutnant Albrecht for EK2 in June 1941 and his EK1 in March 1942.

      Hi Scott,

      Sorry for the delayed response. I just now stumbled upon your posting. Both documents look really nice. Looks like the EK2 was signed by Georg Braun and the EK1 by Robert Meissner. Braun was KIA in November 1941 at Kharkov. Meissner died in Soviet captivity in 1953.

          Thank you again to both Tom's... Tom Y - You are correct about the signatures. General Major Meissner was also a recipient of the Knights Cross. General Major Meissner was the Commander from November 1941- January 1943. I can't find much about him other than this and he died in Soviet captivity. I couldn't even find a picture...

              Really cool Tom! Its great you can find these... Poor guy, General Major Meissner died of stomach cancer while in captivity...
