Urkunde , Woundbadge, issued to a child

    This one came a cross
A "Urkunde" of the woundbadge in black , issued to a child ( she was 4 years old) , including the request for the woundbadge.
I have never seen one, issued to a child, before.

Wow. I wasn't expecting a four year old when I clicked on the thread. This is truly fascinating and depressing all at the same time.

It's an unusual document so it's tough to put a price on. However, I can't believe it's worth more than 100 euro.

When I first glanced at it, I thought it was for a wound suffered on August 1, 1943 which would make sense for Luftgau XI and the Gomorrah raids. But, then I saw that it is actually from 1942 and Hannover. So, it must have been a serious wound as it was awarded over two years after the event.

                      The seller is asking ............... € 250.00.
In my eyes far too expensive , but it is also a very unusual and pretty rare document.

Personally I would go up to € 150, bit its the buyer's decision!

                        Kind regards, Peter

Agreed. That seems reasonable. But 250 is really high. Indeed, it's the buyer's choice as it is so unusual.

Never seen before, a "must have" for any Collector of "variant-Award-Documents". So I mean the Seller will not have any Problem to get 250 for it. And I personally find this Price reasonable, according to his Rarity. L.

In September 1943, Hiitler ordered that all men women and children wounded during an air raid may be issued a Wound Badge following the same criteria as that for soldiers. Since you don't see these often, most people probably didn't apply for one.
