Portrait photos taken at studios from soldiers that wear gorgets are amongst the rarest photos I have seen. As most of these gorgets were allowed to wear on duty only, not many took the opportunity to go to the next photographer and make portraits. However some did.
Here are mine:
The gorget: Zugwachabteilung 507
Another portrait of the same soldier:
The more common gorget: Feldgendarmerie
The gorget: Bahnhofswache
I have several photos of flagbearer gorgets but no studio portrait. I think these were only worn at swearing in ceremonies and parades.
Anybody have a studio portrait with the ( Fahnenträger Ringkragen ) flagbearer Gorget ?
Let me see Yours.
Regards
Robert
