In my opinion this is not an original signature. He always signed his name across the front of his image, but why would the postcard have a stamp and cancelation mark. Anyone who would have been lucky enough to have obtained his autograph would not have posted this in the mail, they would have kept is as a treasured item.
And these kind of autographed postcard are typically from earlier in his political career. After the war started he seldom had time to sign these things for admirers and in fact limited his interaction with the public.

I do not like the signature based on examples from this same time period.


Charles Hamilton estimated that Hitler signed 20,000 documents in his lifetime and that 50,000 were in the USA....this was in the 70's, Imagine the number of forgeries now.

Hi,

the postcard himself if from late 1939, early 1940.
As far i know, Hitler didn't made almost any walkabout after the start of the war, and it is doubtful that he signed any "personal" and so "common" items after 1940.

So we can clearly say with confidence that there is little room for an original signature here...
