Heer paras?

I recently acquired these photos, which seem to show both army and airforce paratroopers. The photo in flight gear has, on the right, the heavily scarred officer shown in the other photos, although difficult to see in the small scale scan. The headgear is also all of Heer pattern in this shot. Of interest also is the metal gas mask canister on the left.
Please give your comments, I have never owned photos of, at least what appear to be, Heer paras,
