Bought my first lot of photos. Only like a dozen. This one intrigued me but I couldn't say why. When I got it in hand I noticed. I've stood on that exact spot. It is very clear that he is under the Eiffel Tower looking towards the river.
Pretty neat I though. So many photos have no details, but this one speaks.

Great photo - clearly seen are the Eiffel Tower shadows behind him. Super history shot.

Reminds me of some photos I developed from a roll of film from a camera. Scenes are of 4 soldiers all on vacation in France, one shows them leaning on a sign 15 km to Cherbourg, where a soldier captured them, and I got the camera with film still intact.

Often thought of all places to go on leave, right when D day hit.
