That's an Italian ww2 flag. If you google 'Royal Italian Army ww2 flag' you will find examples.

That's an Italian ww2 flag. If you google 'Royal
Italian Army ww2 flag' you will find examples.

I believe it is the naval version, as in 1938 the
Italian Army trooped a two fascio arms version.

Gentlemen, thank you both. I had not considered that the Fascist state would still be using Royal standards. But, of course, Victor Emanuel was still the ruling monarch!

Kerry:
The Royal Crown & Savoy Shield Arms was used until 1943, as
modified in 1938 to include the fascist state emblems. I have
in my collection two original Italian Army unit standards - a GI
cut center remains of the embroidered M-38 arms, and another
complete Army tricolor with M-38 arms embroidery picked out as
the flag continued in use with the Italian Army unit that joined
Allied Forces fighting against the Germans and the RSI Italians.
