    Your photo is fake.

Could you also post the reverse side?

The photo hue looks off to me, it looks to be a postwar copy... One way to tell if its fake is to do a reverse image search on Tineye or Google. If the image comes up its a fake , if it doesn't, there is a decent chance its legit... Not a fool proof way but works sometimes..

            Hi,

There is a pinned thread on main page started by Robert Noss which may be of use to you.

            Cheers,

Well in the case one is suspicious for a number of reasons

              1) subject matter
              2) over all low contrast
              3) muddy appearance
              4) low contrast in upper corners

Unfortunately 2, 3 and 4 are very subjective and require an eye or at least some experience actually making prints (or spending time looking at them).

              'Contrast'

Is the difference between black and white. Both too much contrast and too little are bad. You want to see white white and black black.

              Muddy

Well an over all grey, not sharp appearance

So the above is a good example of what happens when you take a take a photo of a photo (copy) you get the above. Less quality (muddy) more contrast (washed out).

Here's an easy way to tell if Russian or 'Soviet Archive' images are original.....they ALL are post-war reproductions worth no more than a buck as fillers!

So beware.....they have NO real value!
