Writing on the back of a picture

I'm trying to read the inscription written on the back of a picture. So far I have:


Kompanie Führer 3./ ... Füsilier Bataillon 196 (or 190)

gibt unserem Kommandeur ... Lage-

... während einer Base. Übz (?) im Mai 44.

von. i. mit. Hauptmann ... (name of the Captain), Oberst .... (name of the colonel)


Do you manage to read more than that or to correct a mistake I would have done ?

not "Base Ubz" but Batt. Abz. I think and von l.n.r (links nach recht) not von i. mit

Komp. Führer 3./ Div.Füs.Batl.196
gibt unserem Kommandeur [eine?] Lage-
bericht während einer Batl. Übg. [Übung?] im Mai 44.
Von. l. n. r. [links nach rechts]; Hptm. ??elle, Oberzahlm. Braun, Lt.?????

Hi,

it could be "O. Pfalz" = "Oberpfalz", it is a region in the northeast of Bavaria, near to the border of Czechoslovakia.
