They are nice documents but please note that the unit concerned is not SS- Panzer Grenadier Regiment "Westland" but 10. SS-Totenkopf Standarte which in May 1941, together with 8. SS-Totenkopf Standarte were renamed SS- Grenadier Regiment 10 and SS-Grenadier Regiment 8 respectively when they beacame the nucleus of 1. SS-Infanterie-Brigade (mot). From the start of Barbarossa until June 1943 the Brigade was mostly engaged in combatting partisans in the Ukraine.

The confusion is understandable due to the use of the numeral "10".

SS- Schutzen Regiment "Westland" was designated SS-Panzergrenadier Regiment 10 "Westland" only in February 1944. The Wound Badge in Gold document is signed by the chief of staff of the SS Fuehrungshauptamt, SS-Gruppenfuehrer Hans Juettner.

        Hi MIG!
You are right, my mistake, sorry!!
I knew that it's Jüttner's s signature on the wound badge doc.
Thanks for the correction and kind regards, Peter

Very interesting grouping. And, as you say, sad.
