Not only a KC holder but Oakleaves and Swords as well!!


Knight's Cross 30.7.1941 as Oberstleutnant and commander of Radfahr-Abteilung 1.
Oak Leaves 23.12.1942 as Oberst and commander of Panzergrenadier-Regiment 26.
Swords 23.10.1944 as Generalleutnant and commander of 24. Panzer-Division.

So this is just before he got his swords
Yes in the book it says about his birthday I believe in 1976 ? I am not sure as the book is at home and I'm at work presently
