    "ICH KAEMPFE" w/ AUTOGRAPH......

Hello folks. This interesting TR publication came to me today along w/ a larger lot from a picker-friend who cleaned out a vets estate...The lot consisted of a few pieces of headgear, a couple daggers, and some various other smalls. I didn't pay particular attention to this booklet when I bought the lot, and the seller didn't mention it at all...I'm sure I'm playing in fantasy-land to "think" that this signature might be genuine, as it IS quite "scrawl-like" as opposed to the neatly penned ink signatures we're all used to seeing, however, I'm going to indulge my imagination for JUST a second with the thought that perhaps this was something signed "on the fly" (during a public event, etc), as the booklet itself is soft cover, (not stiff), and it'd be a hard surface to inscribe neatly unless it was laid down on a flat surface...Still, more than likely a simple post-war embellishment by someone, however, it DID give me pause....A quick snap or two below.

    Hi,

this common booklet was published in 1942, and as far i know Hitler stopped to sign any "goodie" during the duration of the war.
Also the signature is probably not similar to the one of Hitler in 1942.
Some people on the WAF are far better than me to confirm those infos.

    See You

Thanks for commenting. You're right, in as much as it is a wartime publication, however, I'm always loathe to consider anything a "definite" as to exactly when A.H. "stopped" signing autographs...I'm sure, with wartime contingencies, his public appearances became fewer and fewer, however I'd never presume to guess when he literally stopped signing autographs all together. Suffice to say that I'm not making the slightest attempt to attribute this autograph one way or the other, and if it were found in any other context except on the inner fly leaf of a book straight from a veterans estate, I'd probably not have even given it a second thought. Still, it does make me wonder. When I hold the booklet, the page on which the autograph appears, simply flops over, making it quite difficult to sign neatly when being held.. Anyway, thanks for your feedback, it's appreciated!
