Help to id award on soldier of Brandenburg regiment

Hello! Here is a very interesting photo of a soldier from regiment Brandenburg. The photo was taken at the begining of operation "Barbarossa" at Western Ukraine, near city Lucsk . I suspect he is wearing a badge or award of some non-German nazi organization. Can you help me to id the badge? Thanks in advance!
