Swearing in ceremony?

Came across this little grouping of photos that look like there might be a few of the soldiers being ''sworn in'', i was wondering if im correct?
p.s. they were held in a small paper wrap with a couple of names to the outside, the officers maybe?

Looks very much like a swearing in ceremony to me, the names on the paper wrapper could be the officers involved - or the soldiers giving their oath.

Yes, a swearing in ceremony. The names might be others who are to get copies of photos from the group. But, who knows?
