      Hi guys,

      no one with an opinion?
What I'm wondering about is the rank. Was it common, that just a Gefreiter was a pilot? Furthermore I'm wondering that he wasn't promoted within more than 1 year.
      What do you think?
      Thanks for your help!

Hi Sven. No red Flags for me, nice ยง rare late War Frontflugspangen. The fact that he is "only" a Corporal/ Gefreiter is not surprising for me. I am not "the" LW-Guy, I part with my collection in this area, but keep my documentation, so for me, at the end of the war, a pilot remaining "Gefreiter", even with some successes and lot of "enenmy-flights" (Feindfluegen) is not suspect at all IMO. Congrats for this nice Find. Lionel.

          Hi Sven,

It looks like a really nice Schlachtflieger grouping to me as well. Signatures on the two Frontflugspangen documents appear to be that of Georg Jakob. Pilot Badge document signed by Bruno Loerzer. I see no red flags as everything seems to match up correctly on these documents. I am curious as to the Feldpostnummer on the Silver Schlachtflieger Clasp document. I can't make out the number from the posted image.

The Schlachtgeschwader 10 eagle ink stamp on the Bronze Schlachtflieger Clasp document looks spot on.

And I don't have an issue with a Gefreiter flying ground-attack missions in Fw-190s either.

          Best regards,
          Tom
