    Dachau Release Related P/Wk

    Hi Guys,
Have a look at these and let me know what you think. My wife got these years ago and I had forgotten all about them. They are meant to be either to an individual or his family. The main document if I have read it correctly is for the mans release in early 39. If correct I understand such documents are quite rare?

                Hi Si, nice little group.

The first one is, as you thought, a release document. I notice that he was held in "protective custody" I would guess he was maybe a socialist or pretty criminal or something like that? The other stamps on them look like Czech to me? I wonder why they lack any German stamps and a signature? Or is the whole thing a document to show that he was once imprisoned? I am not familar with these as this is the first one I have seen. The interesting thing is that he went on to serve in the Wehrmacht, juding from his release papers from serving as a cook for the BAOR.

The other docs are a radio licence and a RAD leave form to a woman.

                Cheers, Ade.

That was my sort of thinking I have enhanced the document which gives a better look at the detail. My thought process was that as the lower stamping was 1946 perphaps he moved back into the area and it confirmed that he was released and was not on active duty at the camp.

If the document is genunie, he must have kept it in his wallet just in case!
