    Nice photos.

    You are correct. Both aircraft are Bf 109Fs from Jagdgeschwader 54. In fact, both are from the 3rd Staffel, so that would be 3./JG54. The first one is "yellow 1" and the second is "yellow 3". The pictures were probably taken in 1941.

      "Yellow 1" was the aircraft of the Staffelkapitän of 3./JG54, Oberleutnant Hans Schmoller-Haldy.

        After studying the pictures a bit more I'm certain that "yellow 1" is a Bf 109F-2, with a retro-fitted, external armored windscreen. The armored windscreen became standard on the F-4, but was often retro-fitted to earlier models. The supercharger intake is definitely that of the F-2.

        "Yellow 3" is actually a BF 109 E-4, so an earlier model still in service with the Staffel.
