    Families with 3 fallen sons

    Hi guys!

Both families were living in the surrounding of my own hometown. No Hollywood-films were made in these cases...

    Kind regards, Peter

Yes, no movie can show what it sadness it is in real life.

      Here a Kriegsmarine example:

I read in a biography of Luftwaffe pilot Erwin Clausen that he was one of four brothers killed in action.

Human lives were worth less than nothing in the war. The fact that one or two sons were allready killed was unimportant. All others of the family who were able to serve, had to.

In my collection I have a deathcard of four brothers who were killed. Two of them in 1943 and two in 1944.

Thanks for the comments, guys! 3 of the 4 brothers of my grandmother (mother's side) were KIA. First one Infanterie (Russia 1941), second one Panzergrenadier (Russia 1943) and third one Gebirgsjäger (Belgien 1944). My grandfather (father's side) fell in 1944 (Luftwaffe), also Ostfront.
              Kind regards, Peter
