Could anyone tell me what decoration is this?

Is it the SA-Sport badge?

It looks kind of like an earlier pattern DRA Sports badge. Definitely not 100% sure of that.

I would say not as he does not have any of the Spanish decorations on his medal bar or the Spanish Cross.

I agree it could be! I did not think of that...

Also, he could have a Spanish Cross, which can't be seen as the child is seated on his right side.

Based on the 4 Year service medal and KVK 2 ribbon awards he is wearing a sports badge would fit his noncombatant profile.

Sorry, but the two badges in note #10 do not appear to be identical to me. The wreath in the photo badge is thicker and the central design is quite different from either the DRL or the DRA badge; note the difference in the open spaces within each design.

I'm not sure what the photo badge is, but I don't think it's either the DRA or the DRL.
