I won this photograph on ebay a few days ago and would like help in identifying the LW Field Division pictured in it. In order to do this the Hornisse/Nashorn unit must first be identified. Can anyone ID the unit to which this SPG was assigned?

That is one nice photograph you've won there, it is from P.655 (with P.521 style kill marks). Remember me when you wish to resell it

Thank you very much for identifying the SPG unit Akira. Is there a web site where I can learn more about the history of Panzerjager Abteilung 655?

Here is one from me. My first photo of this type. Shame it was taken on the "run" but still a nice photo

              705 sIG Kp / 7.Pz Div

The size of the letter is typical from 705 s.I.G. Kp., 7.Pz. Div.
The lack of Notek, and the crew's beret, are from the campaign of France.
It has yet lost the front fenders, and has a name (Anni, Berta, Christa, Emma or Frieda are the known ones of this Kompanie) so possibly June 1940.

Right you are sir. The seller I got this from was in the midst of splitting a 7 PZ DV album that was from the the westfeldzug. There were some nice Rommel shots that were split up.

                  Thanks agian! Mike

                    from two different units

Alter Fritz, from 703 s.I.G.Kp., 2. Pz.Div., and C vehicle from 706 s.I.G.Kp., 10. Pz.Div. in May 1940. Alter Fritz was destroyed a few days later. Bundesarchiv has two pics of this couple, in a different location. Unfortunately, the pic is only 5x7 cm.

                        Hi Gents,
I know it`s the wrong Thread, but it`s releated to SFL `s !
I try it again, I search for Pics of Hornissen of the P 88, my Grandpa served there and I have sadly no Pics of his Time at the P 88, except that Portrait ! He served at the 1/schw.Pz.Jg.Abt 88 from Oct.44 till End of War, he blast up his Hornisse at the Marketplace in Eger in May `45. As I know the Hornissen of the 1/P88 were marked with the " Cross " that is used on French Playing Cards.
                        Someone could help me ???

                        Regards

                        Dirk

I just joined the forum but my computer isnt pulling up the Elefant shots you posted.
Ferdinands and Elefants are my main interest in vehicles. Can you repost those photos so I can see them.
