not an expert for dkig docs, but as a native german speaker I can tell you it should say "gren. rgt." or similar, but certainly not "rgts. gr."... word order is wrong and the s is redundant!

Hi my dear Matthias. You are mistaking. The abb. here doesn't mean "Gren.-Rgt" but "Regiments-Gruppe". Perfectly correct.
From Tessin band 7, page 208 :
" G.R.181.....am 15.4.43wurde dem Rgt das II./G.R.205 unter Beibehalt seiner Bezeichnung als III.Btl.unterstellt, am 7.11.43 die Divisionund das Rgt aufgelöst; der Stab bildete den Stab Div.Gruppe 52, das II.Btl. die REGIMENTSGRUPPE 181 in dieser und wurde mit der197.I.D. juni 1944 bei Witebsk vernichtet"
