I'm sorry but i believe the doc to be bad.

Firstly, this particular style and unit has been well published, secondly, the unit consisted of less than 100 men, so the chances of coming over one to the same company is very small indeed.

If you compare it to this one (the one published and which is now in my collection) you will see several differences. A different typewriter has been used (compare the 1 and 4). The stamp is different, no reason for anybody to cut out the swastika from the paper as the stamp was already de-nazified. Also, look at the edges of the eagles wings, straight versus curved, also notice how 'fuzzy' it is.

Lastly, the signature doesn't seem to be done by hand, but that's difficult to tell from pictures.

I see some poor sap bought it for 800 Euros plus commission, even if it was genuine, that's way overpriced.

It's pictured in Hartung's price guide going back some years, that's why it's a candidate for faking. I got it 8-9 years ago from a fellow collector here in Norway and he had it for a number of years.

Here's another of the type sold by HH, take a look at the position of the signature.

These are being colour printed with the signature, then the typed details added along with a stamp
