My 3rd German Cross Grouping for 2015

    Hi Guys.

Just coming back from Germany, I am pleased to show you the latest GC Group I get directly by the Family. Its a small group, but I am especially pleased by the minty heavy "21" (Godet Berlin) which I didn't had in the Collection, and also by the Insignias of this "Oberstleutnant im Generalstab". It is my second "Ia" grouping, I already have the one from Obstlt.i.G. Eppendorf (121.I.D.). Lionel.

The "minis" belonged his Father, Leopold v. C. . I have few Infos about him, just that he retired before WW2 as an Leiitenant colonel too. I found out he was a Major in 1914, serving with Inf.Rgt.Bremen (1.Hanseatisches) Nr.75. Interesting is he let a description of the "Frackkettchen", precising that the normal sized award were lost in Hirschberg in 1944. I will probably part with the "minis", my collecting area is already wide enough. Lionel.

                    ..

                    Very nice grouping!!

Interesting that his father was awarded the Japanese order of the rising sun! That group is a research project on its own!

Personally I would keep everything together but not my decision.

                    Regards
                    Jeremy

Thank you Guys for your kind Comments § appreciation. Nice to read ! Here is the only original Pic I was able to get..... It seems that the Family sent for few Years most of the Albums in the Bin, considering that "nobody more is interested". Very sad, but not the first time I hear when visiting Families.....

You do it again and I am more than happy for you.

A pity they trash the albums, ay least you have saved the rest from the same fate.

I can not wait to see what more you have.

Military attache perhaps? That would be my guess.
