I certainly appreciate the chance to show some philatelic items here on the Site.

Here's an interesting item. In the period immediately before the Machtergreifung of 30 Januar, 1933 the NSDAP ran itself ragged with the many elections. As Goebbel's aptly put it, "we're winning ourselves to death." The Nazi's electoral successes came at a terrible cost to the parties coffers. The Party sought contributions in many different ways. This is one of them.

The booklet shown here was sold in 1933 to raise funds. Persons could then show their support for Hitler on their correspondence.

              Here is the booklet.

The booklet held 20 stamps. This speciman has 10 of the original 20.

Here are some examples of this vignette Unser Hoffnung, Our Hope, in usage.

As a rule, this item was not to be cancelled as it had no franking value. However, some covers will show the vignette cancelled by the post office.
