An Awesome Group ! If I were you, I would do my best to bring it Home, an do not let it by the brave Grand'Ma. There are many different types of Guys on the Road tracking up good groups !! Just my Opinion.
2 great points for me :
1) Seeing the Signature from Major Helmut MEITZEL on SWB. I knew Meitzel well, a very small Guy in Size..... but a Great Fighter who were awarded the highest Awards, including the CCCin Gold.
2) The printed letter signed by the "N.S.-Führungsofficer" from the Division, indicating S. he is mentioned in the Divisional Leaflet, is an extremely rare and desirable document IMO, never seen before. At the end of the War, due to the increasing number of Desrters and the lower moral of many divisions, it was decided by the OKH that every Division had to have a "NS-Fuehrungsofficer". In many division, it was the source of many problems, and some NS-Officers had no consideration at all...... But in the 29.PGD, it seems he had a certain influence !
Congratulations for this nice grouping with historical Meaning and enormous Research Potential.... By the Way, I didn't saw the Listing from the 50 CC-Days. Do you have it ?? It will be a great addition to the Group . Lionel.

Thanks again!

While reading "The falke" newspaper that he got i found his name for the EK I award.
<a href="http://imgur.com/xz7swcc"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/xz7swccl.jpg" title="source: imgur.com" /></a>
Top right corner "Siebert". Date of newspaper is 27.10.1944 and he got the award 20.10.1944 so dates match alright.

finially i saw the whole documents in PC, they are not shown in mobile,
they are ok.
the commander is too young to make him awarded DKiG, because
whoever awarded CCCiG, he should be awarded DKiG,
and he got directly CCCiG, the commander i think should make, at least a proforma to CCCiB and CCCiS. a strange commander. his mistake or naive
made your grandfather in an obscure soldier! very regret ! he should honor your
grandfather!
