The photo in post #6 is also found in the Museum of Modern History in Lubljiana, Slovenia. They have a large collection of press-release photos, and this was one that Velimir Vuksic included in his book SS Armor on the Eastern Front (which was based around photos from that museum). Vuksic identifies the scene as showing the Fallschirm Panzer Division Hermann Goering near Warsaw in the late summer of 1944. The caption shown here supports that idea.

If it helps HG Division didn't have any Marder II left by the time it was in Poland in the summer of 1944. It only had a pair left I September 1943 and didn't have any more issued. Further it had a particular way of carrying spare wheels on its Marder II's and didn't use that large stowage box. Other than that the caption could be right.
