Just picked up this nice telegram by Max Wünsche.

A message to a RAD man thanking him for his well wishes after receiving
the RK from the Führer...

You are right of course...

Regarding the signature, there are so many post-war ones done with thick marker or scrawled in light pen so it is difficult to pick out details.

I have noticed big variations in his signature across many that were given the thumbs up, including on this forum.

Some exhibit an 'M' at the start of his signature, others the full 'MAX' and then there are those that don't have it at all.

As well there seems to be a marked difference between wartime and post-war signed photos / documents which is not unheard of.

I am happy to accept that this is a fake as my knowledge of signatures is not extensive...

I appreciate all the opinions.

Out of curiosity, why address sombody as a comrade from the "Reichs Arbeits Dienst" instead of his name? Was this common practise? I ve never seen it before.

Seeing as it has been deemed a fake I don't think it matters now!

Thankfully it wasn't already posted to me so I was able to get my money back.

Yeah, it was no problem although they were adamant that it was original
and were somewhat offended that I even suggested it was a forgery!

I agree, but they made out like the consigner was being inconvenienced as they were still of the belief that it was original...

I think they were perhaps a little embarrassed that a new customer was returning an item before they had even mailed it to me.
