Hi Max , this is the problem , it could be anyone from anywhere , and yes it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.
on the reverse I have two signatures which I am going to get matted and I was going to cut this autograph up to do this , but I have spoke with the framers and he can still Matt the two signatures and leave it in one piece , BUTT THEN , this signature is lost for ever inside a picture , that is why I am trying to find out who it is before this happens.

      It's definately ww2 and that's all I know

Here is the other sides two signatures

The first signature belongs to a P/O - Pilot Officer

The second one to a F/LT - Flight Lieutenant

So both are from the Air Force (British ? Australian?)

          Hi gerdan
, the two signatures are Werner Ottleys and R HUTCHINSON both RAF 617 squadron who flew on the dams raid and where killed in ww2 , Ottley actually on the dams raid

It's the first signature I am after as this is on the reverse side and could be someone important

Very difficult to read, but something like:
"Good luck 'Noschoria' (??) Douglas Byrne (??) 1941". I thought of Douglas Bader, but it doesn't look like him and it wouldn't make sense.
            Max.

              Rare

Warner Ottley and Robert Hutchison sigs would fetch a fair old price, of course.
