Two car photos

Hi,

Here are two photos I have just received. The first one shows a Polizei man taking notes at the scene of an accident between a military convoy and a Mercedes staff car. Note the different uniforms in the photo. The guy on the right possibly NSKK. The second is a pic of some officers standing behind another Mercedes.

Two car photos

Hi Larrister, Thanks for sharing the two photos. The staff car on the both photos is not a Mercedes-Benz but a Horch.
On the first picture you see in the middle ( a little above the fog light ) the emblem with the 4 rings ( today known as Audi ) In the rings is written the name AUTO-UNION.

Auto-Union AG is since 1932 the Holding from 4 firms:

Audi , Dkw , Horch and Wanderer automobile .

The car on the photo is the Horch 830 BL Cabriolet with V8 engine.
In 1933 was Auto-Union the first company with a V8 with more then 3 litre and a ZF gearbox , later becomes the Horch engines from 3,5 and 3,8 litre.
The type 930V from the year 1937 was the following type after the 830 BL.
The licence number with IA means Preussen Landespolizeibezirk Berlin.
