Nice Photo. I'm curious as to why he would be wearing his GCiG so low, especially for a publicity shot in Der Adler!

Maybe because of the breast pocket? Someting else I never noticed before. Is that a HJ pin above his EKI? He seems a little old for that. Ohmigawd, I'm getting interested in the "new stuff"

I have several photos of officers wearing their DK in that position. Must be normal in LW wear.

Hi Rick,
I too have seen many pics of Luftwaffe Pilots, etc. wearing the GCiG in that position. I always thought regulations stated, Luftwaffe or otherwise, that it must be worn on the breast pocket itself. If there was an exception to that I was not aware of it. Any opinions as to the reason it was worn like this?
