Who can decipher this signature

Hi guys,

Can anyone decipher this signature, or at the very least tell me what the first letter is? I'm usually not too bad at IDing signatures, but this one has me stumped.

The Hauptmann is nobody famous – he's an adjutant of a Feldkommandantur deployed in Stalingrad – but I really need to know his name for further research.
