                    they both appear to have a civi shirt underneath the tunics.. am I missing something or is possible that it is a post war pic?

                          Hello,

                          Yes, civy shirts were worn under tunics and can be found in period photos. Individuals were difinitely photographed during the war. Photo could also have been reproduced post-war.

                            There is something fishy with this photo.

                            The SS1 Deutschland tab was in use to the mid-1940 and then this LSSAH slip on. Furthermore the Close Combat Clasp was instituted in late 1942.
                            And then the shirts...

                            This together makes me think it´s a post war photo!
