I bought this portrait some time ago from a - I guess - Italian soldier. Can someone identify anything from the photo and/or translate the back description?

he is a normal infantryman

red with black stripe are the insignia of the "Lupi di Toscana" , but amaranth with black stripe is Basilicata Brigade ... it is not easy from a black and white photo....
