General - anyone know who he is?

Hi,
Anyone out there have any ideas as to who this General could be? All it says on the back is 'Der General'.
I believe the photo was taken in Russia as it came with other photos taken there. One of the other photos with it was taken at Smolensk - so it may be a General who was involved somewhere near there - but that is only a guess.

Your general is Heinz Hellmich (Generalleutnant und Ritterkreuzträger).

Some extra info:

* 01.06.1940-17.01.942 Kommandeur der 23. Infanterie -División (August 1941 under VII. Armeekorps/ 2. Panzergruppe/ HG Mitte bei Smolensk)
* Bei den Kämpfen um die Halbinsel Cotentin fiel Generalleutnant Hellmich im Kampf. Posthum erhielt er am 2. September 1944 das Ritterkreuz verliehen.

Thanks a lot for the info, - very much appreciated! How the hell did you recognise him - there were apparently about 3,500 German Generals in WW2 !!
