WWII German Toe Tags?

This came out of a collection I got last weekend. Your thoughts on this book of Toe Tags. First photo will be of the total collection, so you can see that all is original TR stuff. Writing on the front of the booklet says, "Found in a Nazi Ambulance about 1944". All 25 tages are present.

They have nothing to do with toes. They are simply tags for wounded which give basic info about them and their treatment. As per the inscription the tag is fastened through the second button hole of the coat or shirt. I knew two fellows who still had their tags.
