    Uknown Ritterkreuztraeger

    Hello All
This is a closeup of a photo in my collection and was wondering if anyone is able to identify this RK holder for me? He along with some other officers all have the Ost medal ribbon in case its not realy visible on the pic. On the revers of the photograph is written "War Christmas 1942" in German. Thanks for Any and all help given to help identify this man .

    Kindest Regards
    Jason

P.S pic may not be added untill later this afternoon

                  Thanks for the link.

But the link states that he was awarded his oaks on 10/7/41 and this pic was taken in 42 and he wears no oaks,Also the man in my photo has a monocle whereas Generaloberst Rudolf Schmidt does'nt, also they just seem to look different.
Again thanks Uli and everyone for your help

                  Kindest regards

                      Hello

The photo posted by Jason is quite disturbing for me because I have the feeling that I have already seen the RKT's face but I don't reach to have a definitive conclusion.

                      Maybe :

A way to explore : The RKT is shown wearing small crossed swords on his ribbon buttonhole. This is obviously a WWI award and a rather high one. As I am not a specialist of Imperial awards, I would suggest to ask to our colleagues from the Imperial section what is this award. This might narrow the search.
Tell us if the guy wears what is seemingly a DKiG on the right part of his breast.

                      Regards
                      Denis

                          Thanks everyone
I dont think its the second one either as he was awarded his RK in 43 when this photo was taken at christmas 42 ( i hope my translation was correct) and also he wears full glasses where as the man in the photo has amonnocle and just looks slightly different. I think the award looks like the 1914 Ek2 with prinzen sized spange, would you agree or would you suggest looking further into this? And yes he either has a DKiG or DKiS.
Thanks again for all your help

                          Kindest Regards

                            Hi

I would not bet my head the soldier is shown wearin a Prinzen spange on his ribbon. Ask to the Imperial specialists for their opinion.
                            Best regards
                            Denis
