    Cigarette Cards

I have a book containing 200 cigarette cards, showing German military
history, from the year 772, right through to the year 1914, and I was
wondering if someone might be able to tell me a little about the book,
    is it rare?
    Thank you
    jules.

        Hi Jules,

this book is not rare bot nonetheless worth keeping.
As the cover condition ist not the best the value is not more than 10 EUROs.
If you want to learn more about cigarette card books go an d search the forum - there have been several threads so far.

        Cheers,

Dear Jules: A few years ago I too collected trading cards from tobacco companies and specialized in the years 1881 to 1945, along with Liebig chromos as well. Seems the German and British cigarette companies had similiar themes and featured lots of uniformed soldiers and some sailors, my favourite among the German trade cards is for the Reichswehr uniforms and medals of 1919-1932. When my scanner works again or I break down and get another, will start scannig my tobacco trade cards too. These cards are relatively inexpensive even now as we speak, maybe most people are unaware of them? I have had several of them enlarged 5X to 8X actual size and they retain their incredible details and colour, believe it or not? Thanks for sharing your pictures with us here. Respectfully yours, Sarge Booker (CW4 Herbert H. Booker 2nd)
