A WAF member requested I list my more interesting photo's for discussion and he thinks the men in this parade, with the exception of the SA men, look Greek.

This looks like Greeks or possibly Yugoslavians in some kind if parade through a German town.

Not Greece it is some sort of regional 'Tracht' or 'Wanderjahr' of a local guild. I suspect someplace in northern Baltic Germany look somewhat like a Swedish costume.Comment

The photo practically sure was made during the Erntefest-celebration. The persons in "Tracht" are farmers! But what area is the question. Maybe Thuringia or Baden-Württemberg.Comment

Just stumbled across this thread. The photo indeed has been taken in the town "Tuttlingen" in today's state of "Baden-Württemberg". The exact location is a well-known spot in Tuttlingen, which is called "Am Runden Eck" ("at the round corner"). The name origins from the shape of the house on the left side. It's a corner house at an intersection of two streets, but it's form is round, not rectangular. Here's a photo of the house, which still exists today.Comment

Check the guy on the horse. He's wearing a traditional costume, which is typical for this area. It looks like the traditional costume from the city of Trossingen, which is approx. 10 miles from Tuttlingen and belongs to the county of Tuttlingen.Comment
